Teramis and PreVeil Partner to Help Defense Contractors Identify and Secure Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

New partnership combines Teramis CUI discovery and ongoing monitoring with PreVeil's end-to-end encrypted enclave to help organizations accurately scope, secure, and maintain CMMC compliance.

Teramis, the purpose-built Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) discovery and ongoing monitoring platform for defense contractors, today announced a strategic partnership with PreVeil, the encrypted email and file-sharing platform trusted by thousands of organizations pursuing CMMC compliance.

For many defense contractors, the greatest challenge in CMMC is accurately identifying where CUI exists in their environment. Years of contracts, engineering data, email communications, file shares, and legacy repositories often leave CUI dispersed across Microsoft 365, endpoints, network shares, and other systems.

The Teramis-PreVeil partnership helps organizations identify CUI and establish a defensible, assessment-ready position at every stage of the CMMC lifecycle:

Once identified, organizations can migrate that information into a PreVeil secure enclave, where FIPS 140-3 validated end-to-end encryption protects sensitive information even if cloud infrastructure, servers, or administrator accounts are compromised.

Following migration, Teramis provides ongoing monitoring to identify new CUI creation, movement, or spillage outside approved boundaries, helping organizations maintain compliance and support annual affirmations after certification.
